2023.05.30 18:44 feina635 A Story

So this weekend I went to Bottle Rock music festival out in Napa California. Overall, a cool experience, but this is not a festival I would ever consider going to on my own nor are they bands I would ever consider seeing live (my wife asked me to go with some friends of hers).
Ive seen all kinds of live music, but i've never seen HUGE name acts like these before, and it was a strange experience watching these rehearsed acts, including these weird audience addresses in between each and every song. It didn't do it for me. Not only that, but some of these big acts were tired- I was stoked to see Smashing Pumpkins, but they did not seem like they gave two fucks about being there.
I bring all this up to reinforce how amazing of an experience it is that we are able to see a band like Phish perform. Even as they age, they are still bringing energy, new songs, new style, and are excited to be performing, and they dont fill time with dumb fucking speeches about whatever. A couple nods here and there but nothing more than a minute or so.
Finally, on my plane ride home, there was a documentary about the best drummers ever on the plane. I was wondering...but towards the end Fishman was in it for about a 2-3 min segment.
A couple highlights though- I wasn't a Billy strings believer, now I am. And if you havn't heard Kingfish, turn him on NOW. this guys SLAPS.
TLDR: Bottle rock was alright, cant wait to see yall in Mexico next year though!

2023.05.30 15:16 Odd-Incident3980 Thinking of Nuking Lawn

I live in Columbus Ohio and want to start over with my lawn. We purchased our home late fall off last year and came to understand that we've got a significant Nimblewill problem all over the lawn as well as different types of grass throughout.
I am thinking of starting this process during the first week of October as temperatures are relatively mild during that time and by the end of the month they will be cooler but not too cold. I have read that summer heat is bad for starting new grass so I want to avoid this.
When I do end up nuking the lawn, what product is suggested for nuking the lawn? Are there adverse consequences to the storm basin for using? Would I have to rent a machine to dethatch? Would I need to rent a machine to aerate as well?
How about fertilizer, will I need to put that down with the seed? Are there preferred places to buy cool season grass seed from?
I will have some vacation time during this. Would leaving watering hoses on the lawn during the time I am away be a bad thing? I've been reading you have to water multiple times a day.
I know October is a ways out but I want to have the time to develop a plan and get the materials I need. I also realize the beginner guide exists and have read that multiple times to try and understand what I'm supposed to be doing. I just think starting fresh is the move so that I know exactly what I've done to my lawn.
Thanks to anyone who can take the time out of their day to give me an answer.

“Come see us while you still can”
Most likely just overthinking things, but do these cryptic posts concern anyone? Especially the promoting of the June 3rd show (Last US tour date) when someone commented about seeing them in Ohio. It’s probably nothing and has more to do with Kiss being on their farewell tour and the understanding that will be him and his bands someday in the future. But it got me thinking 🤔😂.

2023.05.30 02:58 rotinaj31 Looking for work and the pay structure from some of the places I've interviewed seems weird?

Hey yall, so I just graduated and getting out in to the field. I've interviewed for several places and I've been getting the offers but a lot of the places are giving me pay structures that just seem odd. Several want to pay me roughly 40 dollars per client and nothing for any other time in the office including notes and meetings or supervision. A few places are hourly but if I can bill for those hours. There has been a couple that are doing salary but are not great offers. Doing the math on all of these they are coming out to me having to see 30 plus clients a week to make anything close to what I'm wanting to. I guess my question is, is this about accurate for the field? The more i interview i feel like just going private practice and figuring out health insurance on my own. I'm shooting for 60k a year which I feel like isn't unreasonable but I'm also not trying to see 40 clients a week to get there either. Also if anyone knows of some good places to look in cleveland or Columbus Ohio let me know.

2023.05.29 23:55 TrustYourSoul Had the best weekend ever

I just wanted to say I had one of the best weekends ever at LiB this weekend!
I was slightly nervous beforehand because there’s a lot of interesting opinions on this Reddit thread about the festival, the new location, their budget, etc., but literally I was blown away. They did such a great job, especially with the VIP passes. I never encountered a single situation where I couldn’t find a perfectly clean toilet; the food was amazing. The music was awesome. I loved Daily Bread, LSDream, Beats Antique, Rezz; Woggie was always a vibe. The venue was lovely. I loved that it was hosted on sacred land and there were so many native ceremonies happening all weekend.
I attended the Bradley location in 2016, which also rocked.
My husband and I flew from Ohio for this and we truly had a perfect time.
We can’t wait for next year— thank you LiB!

2023.05.29 21:35 Basic_Bichette Franklin County [Ohio] John Doe (2006) identified as Randy Raines

On March 30, 2006 the decomposed remains of a white male were discovered draped over a tree trunk in the Scioto River in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio. Investigators at the time believed the man had died some months earlier but could not pinpoint a cause or manner of death.
In 2022 the county coroner asked the DNA Doe Project to assist in identifying the deceased. They quickly narrowed the possibilities down to one family; the John Doe has now been identified as 39-year-old Randy Raines, through a comparison with his brother. They haven't released a photo of Mr. Raines yet; his Unidentified Wiki page has two reconstructions that look nothing like each other.

2023.05.29 20:43 LegallyTimeBlind NE Road Trip Possible Route (Open to Suggestions)

Hello everyone. My wife, 18-month-old son, our 12lb dog, and I are planning a nine-day road trip in a 24-foot Class C RV we are renting. I would like the highlight of the trip to be Acadia National Forest and whale watching, but it is a considerable distance away from our starting point of central NC. With the current route, we would only be staying in each campground for one night before travelling to the next (with the exception of Acadia National Park being two nights). While I was initially against the idea of driving more than four hours each day, that seems largely unavoidable and now I am wondering if it is not better to have a day here and there throughout that is spent primarily driving to a destination, thus reducing the number of stops and to give us a longer time at some of them. Ideally, the stops would have electrical hookups (I know my current route contains a couple that do not), but the RV does have a generator, so it is not a deal breaker if they do not. Any suggestions and recommendations would be greatly appreciated as I am not familiar with the NE. This will also be my first time driving a RV if that helps in determining best stops.
Currently Planned Route

2023.05.29 20:13 my-normal-reddit-acc 26 [M4F] #columbus Ohio looking to build fwb with mature 35+ woman

I’ve always found maturity sexy physically and mentally. I would love to find someone who likes a younger guy for an ongoing fwb situation. I’m white 26 6ft 1 in shape have my own place, looking to make the summer nights more fun :) I’m open to any age so don’t be shy even if you’re under or well above that mark. Age gaps are sexy to me but I can also be adventurous so I guess that’s part of it. I would be happy to verify being real maybe even grab coffee or dinner first build a little sexual tension before we get back to one of our places or just meet right away and embrace what we want in the bed room
