Cleaning your headset regularly will greatly increase its peak performance capability over a long time of using it. A VR headset is an investment after all, both in terms of money and time/energy. For something that you plan to continue using for years to come, do yourself a huge favor and make a habit of regularly cleaning your headset to guarantee it'll be working as well as it did on day one!
For starters, there are 3 essential items that every VR user should have in their kit:
My last tip is a personal one that doesn't apply to people who've strung up their PSVR cord on the ceiling or in a similar management system. For those of us that play with the cord running the floor, keep that cord safe! One bad step on it and you'll be yanking your headset right off your head, or even worse, yanking the cord right out from its attachment to the headset. this unfortunately was a somewhat-common issue with PSVR1, with lots of support requests for disconnected cords from headsets. Keep in mind, this is a death sentence for your headset, totally non-repairable as far as Sony is concerned. All it takes to prevent this from happening to you is to simply tuck the cord into your waistband while playing. When you put your headset on, don't play with the cord running down your shoulder & chest in the front; instead, sling the cord over your shoulder so it's running down your back and tuck it into your waistband with enough slack on the cord to be able to swivel your head as far as you need. Problem solved! Now if you end up stepping on the cord, it will yank from your waistband instead of yanking directly on the headset - like those clips on old treadmills that automatically turned the speed down if the clip was yanked out.
I've been loving PSVR since its original inception and have been fortunate to avoid any issues throughout my time using PSVR 1 and 2, which I credit mainly to plain old good maintenance. If you like something, take care of it! I'm sharing this in hopes of others being able to enjoy PSVR with us for as long as possible. Being the most accessible format of VR available to most people, it's usually their starting point and they might not know some of these things. So, go forth with this info and keep having fun with your VR headset for as long as you can :)

For starters, there are 3 essential items that every VR user should have in their kit:
- The Lenspen - designed mostly for use with camera lenses, these little pens have a very fine brush on one end and a carbon sponge on the other: one side brushes dust and tiny particles away, while the other soaks up any sweat, oil, smudges or fingerprints left on the lens. No cleaners or moisture involved, so no residue or streaks - just perfectly clean lenses after a few swipes with the pen! Avoid the micro-tips though, and go with the regular sized ones.
- Any decent electronics microfiber cloth will be worth its weight in gold for heavy VR users. Another tool in the kit focused mainly on keeping the lenses clean and clear, these cloths provide a quick easy option for getting a quick smudge off or what not. Works great in tandem with the lens pen, it can wipe up heavier smudges and fingerprints that the sensitive carbon tip of the lens pen may not be ale to on the first try.
- The most contentious item of the three, but wipes are a must-have for most people. There's some debate about which wipes you should and shouldn't use on a VR headset, as the external plastic and silicone elements of the headset are sensitive to harsh chemicals and alcohol. I'd avoid using all-purpose cleaning wipes (Lysol, Clorox, etc.) and instead recommend fragrance-free makeup removal wipes. These are obviously skin-safe as opposed to all-purpose wipes, and will be much better for the silicone forehead pad and "curtain" element that goes around your eyes in terms of keeping the material soft and pliable. Harsh chemicals will make these black pieces turn grey and look "dusty", and also will stiffen them after continued use.

Any advice on canvas / leather or what colour I should go for, if I want to keep this for decades to come (if possible? Thinking Epi Leather in Black / Blue / Rose (might get dirty, and they have in-your-face logo straps now).
Also felt a bit nervous when I go to the store, loads of customers who seem to know a lot about bags. I'm a bit lost and didn't even engage the staff to check out / try the bags 😅Any tips on that too? Appreciate your input!

My wife and I recently picked up a pretty nice set of Oak desks from an estate sale for $2. The smaller desk has a bar across the bottom back of the desk that we want to remove, so that both my wife and my kids can use either side of the desk comfortably.
I am pretty new to woodworking still and wanted some advice on how to approach it. Should I just use a handsaw to cut it where it meets the legs, or is there another method that could work as well? Last year I started college. About 2 months in Our seating plan changed an that's when I met her, let's just call her R. At the time we were friendly and then her behaviour changed. I think she was dropping hints but I am just terrible at seeing them. I started to develop feeling towards her later in the academic year but I kept denying them because of my overinflated ego. She then started dating this other guy and at that point I suppressed my feelings completely.
(Year later) For the past few weeks I have been liking someone else, let's call her X except about a week ago where I got invited to my friends party and R was invited too. Keep in mind she still has a boyfriend at this point. It was the small act of kindness like when a chair was too small she offered a spot next to her on a leather seat thing with no backrest (no idea what it's called). Furthermore listening to my friend drunkenly sing "creep" by Radiohead had my head all over the place and it made me realise I didn't like X. It was just me settling for someone else because I couldn't be with R and my dumbass didn't make a move a year ago.

2023.05.30 19:05 The0pusX 2010 CX9 Bluetooth and Aux fail
My daughter has a 2010 CX9 touring. when in the pair mode the stereo is not detecting any devices even though the Bluetooth is turned on those devices. There are three unknown devices, and when I go to delete those from the Bluetooth, it just says error and will not delete them. Is there a way to reset the entire stereo/radio system? Everything I read online says press the volume back and navigation buttons simultaneously, but hers does not have a navigation button.
Also, when she uses a aux cord to connect her phone, nothing is detected on that as well.

I'll go first, WARNING; This involves suicide and self harm.
I'm a brother of a 13 year old boy, also known as my brother I would do anything for him. I noticed that over the summer, he never wore short-sleeves anymore, and he would never wear shorts anymore. He would sit in winter clothes even when it was 70 degrees outside. I didn't think much of it until his clothes hangers started stretching out. I would notice they looked like someone wore it as a necklace. I got a little bit suspicious, now, I walk into his room while he's using the bathroom, I see a pencil sharpener with no blade in it and blood on his bed. I walk out of his room and knocked on the bathroom door. He came out and looked at me confused. "Are you okay?" He asked. I said the question that first popped up. "I need to see your wrist." I said. He rolled up his sleeves and they were covered with fresh blood and cuts. What broke me the most is the fact he carved the word UGLY into his right wrist. The right wrist had the deepest cut. It was as big as 3-4 fingernail tips. I could tell it was a way to attempt suicide. He cut over on where the vains would be, long ways too. It broke me and I will never forget that day. I think he's doing better, he seems happier.

Don't have any art for him, but I am looking for art of my Paladin. He is a half-orc who has sworn an oath of vengeance to the paladins who's oaths ring hollow. A lot of angst in him of course.
His skin tone is dark green, and he has brown hair and relatively smooth features. He has shoulder length hair in a bun and a beard, since he is an orcling it is obviously a chinstrap but there's some stubble on his upper lip as well. He wears armour made out of bronze that leaves his arms bare, except for gauntlets. I want a mixture of orc aesthetic and paladin aesthetic, so a bit wild but still the polished semi fancy look. He wields a great axe in battle, two axe heads that's rounded. He also have a necklace with a gemstone. Add scars and details however you want. If anyone wanna give him a shot, I would appreciate it!

2023.05.30 18:50 LadyRhovaniel Success stories needed with poor latching ability - any advice for a desperate first timer?
Hi all. FTM, gave birth 5 days ago to my beautiful baby boy. I was preparing for breastfeeding by expressing colostrum from week 36 (not every day though) and freezing it in case of emergency. Labor was long but uneventful until it came time for the placenta to come out - no amount of drugs could release it, the umbilical cord broke off when they pulled on it, and I had to be rushed to the OR where I haemorrhaged almost 2 litres of blood. As a result, I missed the ‘golden hour’ that everybody tells me is so vital for breastfeeding success. Instead I got maybe 10 min. of skin to skin before being taken away from my newborn child.
Ever since it’s been a struggle. He latched and nursed a few times with a nipple shield (given to me by a nurse on day 1), but I find it annoying to use and he keeps knocking the damn things off. Since yesterday however he started refusing even the shields (and my right breast). He is often frustrated at being put in a feeding position (both laying down, sitting and cradling him, and the rugby hold) and screams like a banshee even before I can offer him the nipple, no matter if he’s very hungry or very calm and just displaying hunger signals beforehand. I’ve tried latching at every feed, but he literally fights me and just cries, seemingly forgetting about eating altogether. Because I’m worried about my milk supply and his health I’ve been using the saved colostrum as well as hand expressed milk to feed baby, using a syringe, a spoon, and the cup method (though it looks like I’ve been doing that wrong too). He is gaining weight because I’m expressing almost round the clock when I’m not actively feeding him / changing him / soothing him but I really want to breastfeed like a normal person, and not feel like I am a total failure as a mom for not even being able to latch my own child when everybody I know has had zero issues.
Anyone else’s baby have issues latching? How did you overcome this? Can I even fix the mistakes I’ve no doubt made?
